Voting Method:
Each vote costs $1.00 USD and will be processed through our secure
on-line payment system, processed by "PayPal” via Visa, MasterCard,
Amex, PayPal account and debit from a personal bank account. PayPal
receipts are issued online via the screen or through e-mail. Anyone
can purchase as many votes as they want.
1 vote = $1.00 USD*
10 votes = $10.00 USD*
100 votes = $100.00 USD*
*Please note that there is a transaction fee of $1.00
(charged in a for of handling) for all votes
to cover PayPal service charges. It is recommend that if you would
like to purchase multiple votes, that you accumulate votes together
so that you do not have pay per transaticon.
Why do you have paid voting?
Most voting for major competitions include a form of paid voting
such as text voting. While most people do not pay attention, text
voting charges your cellular phone bill, and appears on your monthly
statement. We have opted out of text voting for our 2014 event, and remain upfront with our fees.
Our major reasons are:
1.Paid voting prevents fraud through the creation of fake e-mail
accounts when e-mail voting is used.
2.Paid voting prevents computer hacking, and IP address renewals
that often outsmart online programming that prevents votes from the
same IP address.
3.Paid voting ensures that votes are counted accurately and
correctly.
4.We believe in accountable voting results. It allows a verifiable
way to ensure that the number of votes a delegate receives is what
appears on her profile, in which the voter (you), and the delegate
can check voting results. This allows for transparent voting
practice with PayPal used as a third party verifiable audit source
as the winner ultimately is chosen by you the public.
All proceeds
will be contributed towards organization of cultural events for
Czech and Slovak communities.
